The Middy’s Small Business Awards reward and recognise the small electrical contractors in the electrical industry with 4 x $5,000 Awards & a $10,000 Nick Middendorp Small Business Award up for grabs.

The Small Business Awards are back for 2021. The challenges that COVID-19 has placed on small businesses makes the 2021 Small Business Awards particularly relevant and the funds rewarded will go a long way in supporting small businesses in 2021.

Named in honour of the late second generation Middy’s director Nick Middendorp, the awards are designed to help small electrical contractors improve business sustainability and increase the ability to plan, manage and respond effectively to growth. The awards can assist contractors invest in new equipment or infrastructure, or help them enter into new markets. The aim of the awards is to help in whatever way possible to run and grow a small business. This in turn helps stimulate small businesses to accelerate employment and generate more income.

The entry process is straight forward and uncomplicated. Simply fill out the online questionnaire. If you run a small electrical contracting business with up to 5 staff and think you deserve a break, we'd like to hear from you.

There are no right or wrong answers, we genuinely and honestly want to hear about your business and what it is about your business that makes it unique. SBA applications open nationally 5 April - 28 May 2021.

2019 SBA Nick Middendorp Award Winner Leigh Marshall Read Leigh's Story

Leigh Marshall from Marshall Electrical took out the $10,000 Nick Middendorp Award in 2019 and used the funds to further grow his business.
